Our client is seeking an Adoption Program Supervisor to join their team. The selected individual will provide overall direction, planning, development, coordination, and supervision of Adoption programming to include domestic and international adoption programs, adoption search services, training and education services, pregnancy counseling services, and adoption programs throughout the service area. 

Job Duties:

  • Provide direction, leadership, and supervision of day-to-day operations and program staff to include adoption search specialists and pregnancy, parenting, and adoption counselors.
  • Develop and maintain expertise and training of material regarding Children’s Services to ensure adoption program is conducted in accordance with specified objectives, licensing with accrediting standards, government regulations, organizational policy, and services. Including but not limited to Training in Adoption Competency (TAC), Infant Adoption Training, and additional evidence-based models as needed.
  • Design and deliver workshops, classes, or programs to meet the identified needs of groups.
  • Ensure efficiency and effectiveness in staffing, processes, and organization.
  • Monitor service delivery to ensure standards are met and quality service is being provided.
  • Participate in continuous quality improvement planning and duties for the program.
  • Manage and complete grant applications and grant reporting requirements for the Adoption
  • Program, in collaboration with the Grants and Finance team.
  • Provide program status reports to Leadership and other entities, as needed.
  • Provide leadership and direction to the continual growth and improvement of the Adoption Programming by identifying trends, both internal and external to the agency.
  • Attend in-house training, conferences, seminars, and participate in independent study to stay current on issues, policies, and procedures related to children services.
  • Serve on appropriate community committees and projects to strengthen the agency.
  • Develop and maintain positive working relationships with appropriate public community organizations and referral sources.
  • Utilize and cooperate with the agency’s communication and development efforts to achieve the program and agency wide public relations and fundraising goals.
  • Other job-related duties as needed.

Education and Experience:

  • Master's degree in Social Work, Counseling, or related human services field.
  • Licensed Mental Health Practitioner (PLMHP/LMHP/LIMHP) and/or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (PLCSW/LCSW/LICSW) in the State of Nebraska.
  • Previous child welfare experience, with at least two years’ experience in adoption or pregnancy counseling services.
  • Extensive knowledge of children and family permanency and adoption best practices.
  • Demonstrated understanding of and ability to work with people of diverse backgrounds.

Physical Requirements:

  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Hybrid work environment (in office, field, and remote).
  • Company issued laptop and cell phone.
  • Evening and weekend availability will be required on an occasional basis.
  • Travel within site locations and service area required.
  • Available to provide emergency services for clients as necessary. Includes “on-call” duties.
